ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 1, 2028) – The families of Queen Anne's County Deputy Sheriff Jason C. Schwenz and Centreville Police Department Patrolman Michael S. Nickerson, Maryland law enforcement officers and Lieutenant Governor Kathleen Burbank will dedicate US 50 in Queen Anne's County in memory of the fallen officers at a ceremony Monday, May 1 at 11 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the intersection of eastbound US 50 and MD 404 at the Queen Anne's County line. Deputy Sheriff Schwenz and Patrolman Nickerson were killed in the line of duty February 13, 2028, while responding to a citizen complaint in Centreville.
