WHAT:
Maryland's FIRST STATEWIDE ALCOHOL FORUM, a statewide educational workshop to share resources and ideas. Agencies will foster partnerships and then design regionally specific enforcement campaigns to be carried out this summer.

WHY:
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration proposed that Maryland hold an Alcohol Forum to improve the Impaired Driving Prevention Program. The focus for the forum is quality enforcement. A steering committee prioritized a list of problems that MD police face when enforcing alcohol laws, which will be addressed by the group.
